Q. i just wanted to know how anyone would go about getting started to be a make up artist for a big cosmetic company like mac like do they have a special school or something can you please give me some detail i really want to be a make up artist and eventually own my own company but i want to go to school and learn? help please any make up artists out there?

A. Well, in order to become an employee for MAC, you have to take a test. And they make you do a run through of a MAC look. You have do basically do a demo. So, it would be best to go to some cosmetology classes!

A. you dont have to go to school just have to have skills. when you go through the process of applying the interview takes place by you doing someones make up showing what you can do thats the job as a makeup artst but i know you can freelance and just sell make up there.

A. No, postage isn't normally free, although right now they have an offer of free delivery with orders over 50. Standard delivery is normally 2.95, and next/named day delivery is more. If you google around sometimes you can find codes for free delivery. :)

A. i was curious by the MAC hype and purchased a blus myself... since it's pretty darn expensive here.. i expected to be high quality without the harmful products. You're right... without the chemicals you mentioned the product would essentially be better for the skin. unfortunately mac uses all 4 types of parabens, bismuth, and talc in their powdered products.. I wouldn't imagine why they wouldn't use it in their other products as well..

A. There are no new Hello Kitty MAC items. The Hello Kitty collection was released last year in 2009 on February 12 and the Kitty Kouture collection was released on March 5, 2009. A. My sister asked her friend to buy her some Mac brushes in Japan thinking that she could save some money by doing that. A. i use mac cosmetics, the powder foundation, concealer, blushers, glosses and eye shadows. and thinking of buying their bronzer and liquid foundation too.. their product is very , very high in quality. people actually compliment me after i started using their compact foundation everyone ask...what did you do to you skin..?? and i have sensitive skin..but using..i had no allergic reactions.their color range is very extensive..you will definitely find something that suites you perfectly. in malaysia, mac is the top choice for makeup artist to use in wedding, photo shoot etc..that itself speaks a lot for the brand i say...give it a go,..

A. Just spend what you can afford. If you like MAC, once you build up your makeup collection you won't need to buy that often. I have a variety of lipsticks and eyeshadows so they last a long time. Since MAC has a recycle program, my lipsticks and/or eyeshadows have been free for me. Their foundations last a long time because a little bit goes a long way. I don't buy their brushes because I've been happy with the brushes I buy at Target. I spend about $100 in a year.

How do I find the Best makeup kit in MAC Cosmetics?

I promise that I will get her something for her birthday and surprise her, But i don't know where to get like the Ultimate make up kit from MAC cosmetics because that is her favorite. A. MAC does not offer kits, but they do offer custom palette where you can insert eye shadows or blush. They also sometimes offer lipstick palettes with colors already in them. I know they sell makeup bags and such so you can give them as a gift. they also offer pigments right now where they are more like sample size that come with 4 different colors. As far as MAC goes, these are my essentials: Eyeshadow-Goldmine, Crystal Avalanche, Sushi Flower, Stars 'n Rockets, Aquadisiac...those are mine, but a lot of people love Shroom and Carbon and so forth. It depends on what colours you like. Mascara-I haven't used any of their mascaras, my favourite is actually Avon's Uplifting mascara. Eyeliner-Again something else I have not used, but the Technakohls have rave reviews. Cheeks-All my favourite cheek products were limited edition-the Lune blushcreme and the Alpha Girl beauty powder. I have the following: 4 eyeshadows (in a palette) a Mac 217 brush. so what else should i buy so i can get over $50 , but not too pricey? i dont wear lipstick or blush so i'm not quite sure what to buy. Are there and catalogs that sell MAC cosmetics?
Q. Are there any catalogs that sell MAC cosmetics and other makeup brands that i can order out of? I can't order online and i don't feel like traveling to NYC or Philly to get my MAC fix.

A. Did you mean fix+? No catalogs sell it, sorry. You have a few options. 1) Ebay 2) 3) Ask a friend to get it for you 4) Go on www.MacCosmetics.com Order it online 5) Go to a MAC counter, or a store go to the MAC website and look for the one closest to you. Edit: If you buy off Ebay make sure it's a trusted seller! MAC is very easy to fake
