A. Are you a vegitarian? If not then you have no argument. Personaly, I am not a fan of hunting... however, these animals are wild not raised for slaughter and a human must hunt and kill them in order to eat them. If an animal is hunted and every part of the animal is used for food and clothing, where is the problem. Do you own a pair of sneakers? Are they leather... ohhh that poor cow! How about deer... is it ok to hunt them or do you only support bears? Of coarse I dont agree with thoes who hunt any animal for sport alone, but if a family can eat for a winter and someone took the time to hunt, clean and use the animal... then I dont understand how this is worse than raising animals for slaughter. The meat is not full of… [cont.]

I have a nice teddy bear collection to find homes for?
Q. They're all in brand new, mint condition and belonged to my sister, who collected, among other things, teddy bears. There are lots of Brass Button Bears and some Boyd's Bears In The Attic, Russ Bears From The Past, Ganz Cottage Collectibles, a few Ty, and 1 Avon 100 Yr. Anniversary Bear. I can't keep them all and the local police department says that they have more than enough bears. Any suggestions for what I could do?
Asked by Autumn - Mon Jul 14 21:18:36 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Have you asked if you could donate them to the pediatric floor of a local hospital? What about giving them to an organization that helps children with disabilities or underprivileged kids? Or even giving them to a home for elderly people. They would probably appreciate how precious the bears are.

What is the difference between a bear market and a bull market?
Q. What is a companies incentive to issue rights in a bear market? From what I gather a rights issue is when a company will offer its existing shareholders additional shares in a company. So apparently a bull market is when the stock prices are going up (like an exponential graph) and a bear market is the opposite when you see share prices fall. Is this right? So why would a company issue rights if its stock price is going down? Is this sort of like trying to get enough capital to go through a tough period?
Asked by Joel G - Sat Oct 3 02:33:19 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. In a bull market more people want to buy than sell. In a bear market more people want to sell than buy. Rights (to buy at a set price), at times, are issued as a perk. It is up to the holder to decide when he/she wants to buy. Any forward looking company expects its stock to rise eventually.

What happens when you get a bear certificate and put the wrong bear on buildabearville?
Q. i have a hello kitty bear in real life, but when i got a certificate i put in a bunny on buildabearville. I need help is there another way to change it?
Asked by Shounna - Fri Jan 2 18:23:32 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Well, you can go to a build-a-bear workshop store and bring your hello kitty bear to the store, and ask for a paw pass. Then, just look at stuff and pretend your gonna buy something. (Who knows maybe you will get something!) Then go home, and use the paw pass code. When you select your bear, select your hello kitty one. Also, the paw pass is good for up to 4 more bears after you enter in your hello kitty! Or you can go to a buid-a-bear workshop and ask for a free paw pass, but still bring your hello kitty bear, and tell them your problem. I would do the first one because the second idea might not work. Hope I can help!

How does the points system work for bear hunting in wisconsin?
Q. In wisconsin im pretty sure you have to apply and every time you apply you get a point and when you have a certain amount of points then you can hunt a bear. Can anyone explain how this works and how many points i need to hunt a bear.
Asked by Sawyer - Tue Aug 4 22:37:39 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Wisconsin goes by a point system. 6 points is when you can usually draw a tag. Every deer season, we apply for a 'preference' point. I do believe I'm up to 5 points now, so in theory, next year I should draw a kill tag. You can skip up to 3 years and still keep your points, but after that, you are at 0. It's kind of a BS gig since there are more black bears in Wisconsin than I have seen in at least 20 years. I'm hoping that 6 years might be reduced to say, 4. Good luck. There is no other fast track way other than sit and wait.

If a bear is chasing outside your house trying to get in, what does that mean?
Q. I had a dream the other night that there was a bear outside of a house I was in, and it kept trying to get in. We couldnt find anywhere to hide from it, so we kept running around the house. I've had a dream some what like this before, but it was in a different place. Still had a bear in it though. I'm not afraid of bears. I think they are absolutly beautiful animals.

A. According to Dreamcrowd: To dream that you are being pursued or attacked by a bear, denotes aggression, overwhelming obstacles and competition. You may find yourself in a threatening situation. Alternatively, bears symbolize the cycle of life and death and renewal. It may signal of period of introspection and thinking. The dream may also be a pun on "bare". Perhaps you need to bare your soul and let everything out into the open. To see a polar bear in your dream, signifies a reawakening. A. Maybe you could do something a little more unexpected and have a teddy bear represent the opposite of comfort and safety? You could get a ripped up and patched up old teddy bear and photograph it alone near a torn down house, for example. You could also do something like the teddy bear in the Muse video for Uprising - evil teddy bear.

How can I make a pair of bear arms as a costume for Halloween?

A. Hilarious and very clever. Hopefully you have (or know someone who has) access to a sewing machine - it will make it much faster and easier - otherwise, you can always handsew it with a needle and thread. 1. Buy fake fur fabric from the fabric store. 2. Give yourself some hairy arms by sewing the fake fur into tubes. Do this by cutting two long rectangles the length of your arm and wide enough to cover the diameter of the widest part of your arm (plus some extra material for the seam). Put the hairy side facing each other and sew together along the long side. Voila hairy arm tubes. An alternative to sewing would be to use a long sleeve shirt and to glue (using hot or fabric glue) or staple (not sure how well this would work) the fake… [cont.]

A. Most of the time black bear hamsters and other hamsters act crazy if you just got them in the last 3 weeks, it happened to me too. But alot of the times i just but him in my hamster ball and that gets all his crazsy and energy out and then he will be tired and take a nap. You can also throw in some treats into his cage, like carrots and oats, because the oats actually help make your hamster live longer, but if you really want to calm it down i read that normal spinach has ingredients that help loose stress in people and expecially rodents, MauerMan07

I never really quite knew what it meant until much later in my years. Those of true faith know they can draw on the Lord God for all their needs. They are long in suffering, strong in endurance, hope with fortitude and love unconditionally. They also know they must. They must be the examples for others to learn. They keep moving forward with joy in their hearts because they've already been there, done that. :D Peace and Blessings

Q. Romans 15:1 - We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Is it possible to kill a charging bear by punching it in the face?
Q. I have heard stories about people slaying attacking bears by punching them in the face. A bear moving at 30 mph would shatter their arm, but I also believe the force would at least knock the bear out.

A. I am interested to know how you heard such tales ! Certainly in the case of the smallest bear species, knocking one out by punching it in the face would be possible but unlikely. And the bigger you go the more unlikely and unrealistic this becomes ! Imagine attempting this with the larger Brown Bear sub-species or a Polar Bear ! Forget about it charging, how realistic is it for even a 7 ft tall muscular man to knock out such a bear ? not at all ! And just how many 'free' shots is such a specimen likely to give that man ?! As for charging...well, I think you get my message!

What year did the polar bear become and icon of Canada?
Q. I need this for a history project I am doing on polar bears and global warming. Does anyone know what year the polar bear officially became an icon of Canada. Or what year the toonie was made? It'd be greatly appreciated, thanks. :)

A. I noticed that the guy did not answer your question as to when the tooney was made. According to Wikipedia the $2.00 coin was introduced on February 19, 1996. As to whether not a polar bear is a Canadian icon is debatable. I think that the polar bear is more of an Eskimo or an Inuit icon as opposed to a Canadian icon. Typically the Canadian icons tend to be beavers, or Canada geese.
